Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) arrives in Kolkata from London to find her husband Arnab Bagchi missing. Seven months pregnant and alone in a festive city, he begins a inexorable search for her husband. With nothing to depend on except fragments from her memories about him, all clues appear to reach a dead finish when everyone tries to persuade Vidya that her husband does not exist. He slowly realizes that nothing is what it seems.
